Vancouver Headshots & Architecture Photography – Vida Eye Care

If you’ve been following us recently you may have noticed that the Highline West website has undergone a few changes. An expansion into architectural/real estate photography as well as an updated portfolio have kept us happily busy over the past couple of months. It is for this reason that we were extra excited to get an inquiry from Dr. Gloria Lee of Vida Eye Care, because not only was she looking for professional headshots, but she also wanted images featuring her new storefront and examination rooms.

It was a lot of fun working with Dr. Lee as her retail space felt new and inviting. Even more importantly her ready smile and knowledgeable confidence showed up great on camera and came in handy when she came to the aid of an emergency walk-in patient mid photo shoot.

We can’t wait to see her headshot and architectural images in print and on her website: http://www.vidaeyecare.com/. And if you’re looking for a friendly eye doctor in the Fairview area of Vancouver, please don’t hesitate to contact Vida Eye Care.

Vancouver Real Estate Photography – Onni Level: Furnished Living

There is no greater compliment for your services than return business. That’s why Highline West is ecstatic about our recent string of work for the Onni Group. Most recently we were commissioned to refresh the images for Level: Furnished Living in Vancouver, which is a short term stay residential hospitality venture. The friendly staff there were welcoming and helped us spruce up the pool and lobby area with fresh towels and floral arrangements.

Highline West is so grateful to the Onni Group for their continued patronage and we can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!

Vancouver Headshot Photographer – Rey Halim for Royal Pacific Realty

Depending on how you look at it, Vancouver can be considered either a big place or a small one. I mean sure, the area is pretty densely populated and far reaching, but at the same time everyone seems to know everyone else. That’s why it was a bit of a treat for us to hear that Rey stumbled across our headshot work a bit randomly and liked it enough to book us right away!

Rey is a newer realtor servicing the Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond areas. With a background in property inspection and assessments, his knowledge and experience in real estate is practical and relavent. Friendly and always quick to smile, Rey made our job look easy as he talked about the housing market and displayed a genuine passion for his work.

We wish Rey the best of luck in his real estate career and we can’t wait to see how our headshots work for him.

Vancouver Headshot Session: Lien Yeung

Highline West recently had the opportunity of shooting headshots with Lien Yeung in our studios. Not only was she excited and ready to put her best face forward during the session, but she even tackled hair and makeup on her own as well! The shoot was a lot of fun and we think the results are proof of that.

Unbeknownst to us Lien was actually gunning for the glamorous position of weekend weather person for CBC News Vancouver and it is our distinct pleasure to congratulate her on making the cut! We couldn’t be happier for her and hope that her new job is just a stepping stone up through the ranks of the CBC! All the best from Highline West!

Architectural Photography: Oasis by Onni

Architectural photography is a precise and fickle venture. While quite different from our headshot work, we’ve found that there are some similarities that can be drawn from both practices. Both are heavily detail oriented and like headshots, real estate photography is all about the message that is conveyed to the audience viewing the image.

But I digress. One of our first architectural jobs was for the Onni Group and it was our goal to show off the amenity areas of their flagship new development Oasis in Coquitlam, B.C. Not only was the building newly finished and centrally located, but it was also touted as the tallest building in the entire city!

Excitement and anticipation for this photo shoot are understatements as the job was delayed for the better part of two weeks due to the weather. But as luck would have it, when the weather did clear, it provided us with a stunning sunset with which to capture the outdoor pool and gym areas of the residential development.

We hope you like these images as much as we do. You can also find our photos featured on the Onni/Oasis website (HERE) and in a print campaign for Burnaby, Coquitlam and New Westminster.
